John Malkovich has described working on Red 2 as 'a lot of fun'.
The actor is set to reprise the role of Marvin Boggs in the action film - which comes after the success of the first film in 2010.
Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren and Mary-Louise Parker are also reprising their roles while Anthony Hopkins and Catherine Zeta Jones are two of the big additions to the cast list.
Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "It was a lot of fun, some of the same cast and a lot of fantastic additions to the cast this time.
"I had a great time, most of my time is spent with Bruce Willis and Mary-Louise Parker - we get on very well."
Dean Parisot is in the director's chair this time around and the trailer promises that this will be bigger than its predecessor.
As for Malkovich we are also going to be seeing him back on the big screen next week as he stars alongside Nicholas Hoult for the adaptation of novel Warm Bodies.
Red 2 is released 2nd August.
