DiCaprio picked up the fourth Best Actor Oscar nomination for his performance in the already critically acclaimed The Revenant and he is the favourite to finally triumph.

Winslet worked with DiCaprio on Titanic and Revolutionary Road and says that there is a huge amount of support for the actor as we head towards the Oscars.

Speaking on the red carpet at the London Critics' Circle Film Awards, Winslet said: "You can sort of feel it and I think everyone wants it for him.It would be amazing.

Winslet's triumph in London last night came a week after she scooped a Golden Globe for her performance. Along with her former Titanic co-star, Winslet is also in the Oscar mix as she was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress Oscar.

It is one of the toughest categories this year as Winslet is nominated alongside Rooney Mara (Carol), Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight), Rachel McAdams (Spotlight), and Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl).

Winslet will be back in the big screen this February as she stars as part of the ensemble cast of Triple 9, which sees
