Keira Knightley

Keira Knightley has filmed a saucy scene with Carey Mulligan for their new movie - the actresses lock lips for a same-sex kiss in Never Let Me Go.

The Oscar-nominated actresses have teamed up for a big screen adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro's haunting novel, which tells the story of three friends at an English boarding school who share a tragic secret.

It has now been revealed the film's female stars get passionate in one particular scene, which sees them share a smooch.

The film is released in the U.S. in October (10).

The movie brings together an impressive British cast of Knightley, Mulligan, Sally Hawkins and Andrew Garfield in the Mark Romanek directed movie.

We haven't seen Knightley on the big screen since The Duchess back in 2008 but she has a string of projects lined up including London Boulevard with Colin Farrell and Last Night with Sam Worthington.

And Carey Mulligan is still riding the wave of sucess from An Education, which saw her land an Oscar nomination, and she will be back on our screens in September with Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
