Kristen Stewart will no longer be reprising the role of Snow White in the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel.

Stewart was set to return to the role alongside Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman and Frank Darabont in the director's chair.

However, everything has changed, and Stewart will no longer be involved and the film will not focus on Snow White, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Instead, it is said the film - now titled 'The Huntsman' - will follow Chris Hemsworth in the titular role.

It has also been reported that Charlize Theron will also be returning to the sequel as Queen Ravenna, Snow White's evil stepmother.

Snow White and the Huntsman was released back in 2012, and went on to gross in excess of $396 million at the global box office.

Frank Darabont, Gavin O'Connor and Andres Muschietti were some of the filmmakers linked to the director's chair, after it was announced that Rupert Sanders would not be returning to the helm the sequel.

Darabont has been behind films such as The Green Mile & The Shawshank Redemption, but this will be his first feature film since The Mist back in 2008
