Liam Neeson has hinted that no one will get taken in Taken 3.

It was revealed last week that Forest Whitaker was in talks to join the third instalment of the action franchise, and that Neeson was already on board.

While reports that Neeson will get a reported $20 million for reprising the role of Bryan Mills are to be confirmed, he has dropped a tiny hint as to what we can expect from the new film.

Speaking on the Jonathan Ross Show, the actor said: "They called me up and I said 'I’ll do it... but only as long as nobody gets Taken.'"

Olivier Megaton will be back in the director's chair to helm the sequel to his hit Taken 2.

We were introduced to Neeson as Mills for the first time back in 2008, a film that went on to be an unexpected hit.

The sequel followed in 2012. While Taken 2 was not met as well critically, it still performed well at the box office.

Filming could get underway on the Taken 3 as early as next month.

As for Neeson, he is back on the big screen at the end of this month with action film Non-Stop. He will also star in A Million Ways to Die in the West and has lent his voice to The Lego Movie.
