Liev Schreiber says he doesn't see himself as a movie star.

Schreiber has enjoyed a very successful career with roles in the likes of Salt, Goon, Defiance and TV series Ray Donovan.

However the actor says when he hears the term 'movie star' he thinks about the likes of Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp.

Speaking to Cigar Aficionado magazine's November/December issue: "I'm flattered but that seems like a bit of a stretch. When I hear that term, I think about people like Johnny Depp or Angelina Jolie.

"Actually, I think of people like Gary Cooper, Bette Davis, Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant. I mean, I act, I'm a parent, I'm an entrepreneur. I don't know if you have anyone anymore who is exclusively a movie star."

Schreiber has two sons Alexander and Samuel with his long term partner Naomi Watts. The couple have been together since 2005.

And while the actor has been in some great movies he says that he is happy being a supporting actor.

"I made a career out of being a supporting actor. I enjoy the process of understanding a script, breaking it down, figuring out where my part fits in."

Ray Donovan has been Schreiber's big project this year as he turned his hand to television.

He is currently filming new movie Pawn Sacrifice: the film sees him team up with director Edward Zwick and star alongside Peter Sarsgaard and Tobey Maguire.
