Luke Evans

Luke Evans says that Dracula Untold has been a hugely demanding role for him both physically and concentration wise.

Evans is currently filming Dracula Untold - a new take on the well-known tale - that sees him take on the central role of Vlad Tepes.

The movie sees the British actor team up with filmmaker Gary Shore for the first time and he makes his feature film directorial debut.

Speaking to Total Film the actor said: "It’s absolutely huge in scale and story. I’m on set every day. The demands on my energy, concentration and physical well being are absolutely enormous so I’ve completely zoned out of everything else at the minute.

When I look back at what we’ve shot and see what we’ve done, I’m immensely proud of myself that I’m actually still standing."

An all-star cast has been assembled for the film as Evans stars alongside Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper, Samantha Barks and Charlie Cox.

Evans is currently enjoying life at the top of the box office around the world with The Hobbit: the Desolation of Smaug - a film that introduced him as bard The Bowman.

2014 set to be a busy year for the actor as he is set to take over the role of Eric Draven in a remake of The Crow, while The Hobbit: There And Back Again is also set to hit the big screen.

Dracula Untold is released 3rd October 2014.
