Magic Mike XXL is one of the most anticipated films of summer 2015 as Channing Tatum and co are back to strut their stuff.
Magic Mike was one of the unexpected hits of summer 2012, and I am looking forward to seeing what they deliver this time around.
Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, and Adam Rodriguez are reprising their roles as Mike, Ken, Big Dick Richie, Tarzan, and Tito and they feature in this great new image from the film.
However, there are plenty of new faces to watch out for this time around, as Donald Glover, Elizabeth Banks, Amber Heard, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Andie MacDowell are all also on board.
It is also all change in the director's chair as Gregory Jacobs - who served as producer first time around - is now at the helm and has taken over from Steven Soderbergh. Soderbergh is involved with the film and serves as executive producer this time around.
Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, 'Magic Mike XXL' finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them.
On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways.
Magic Mike XXL is set to be a welcome change from all of the big budget blockbusters this summer and promises to be bigger and better than its predecessor.
Magic Mike XXL is released 3rd July.
