Mark Ruffalo has cast doubt over the Avengers 2 casting problems saying he didn't think that any of the cast had starting negotiating contracts yet.
Last week it was reported that there were some financial problems between the cast that cast doubt over who would be returning for the sequel.
Apparently negotiations with some of the franchise's biggest names were not going well - but Ruffalo has another take on things.
Speaking to Moviefone the actor said: "I haven't caught wind of any of that. I was surprised to hear it, because I don't even think anyone's really started negotiating yet.
"As far as I know [everyone is back]. But sometimes actors are the last people to know what's going on".
The actor is expected to reprise the role of Bruce Banner in the second Avengers movie - which is due to start filming next year.
Joss Whedon is currently penning the script for the film and will return to the director's chair for the movie.
Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are rumoured to be a couple of the new characters to be added to the franchise with Saoirse Ronan linked to the role of Scarlet Witch.
