Mark Wahlberg

Mark Wahlberg loves "s**t-talking" roles.

The actor stars alongside Denzel Washington in new action-comedy '2 Guns' and thinks he's best suited to hard-man roles that require him to talk trash.

He told BANG Showbiz: "When we are playing roles that call for s**t-talking, I feel I'm pretty good. So that's my comfort zone right there. That's why I was hired to play [this] part and be able to do it."

The 45-year-old star was honoured to work alongside 'Flight' actor Washington, however, he insists he wasn't "intimidated" working with the Oscar-winning actors.

He explained: "I have the utmost respect for Denzel and Jack Nicholson. I think we're talking about two of the greatest living actors that I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity to work with those guys.

"For me, I don't get intimated by it ... I get excited about it because I know from working with people that are that great, that I get the chance to be that much better myself."

As well as starring in '2 Guns', Wahlberg recently starred alongside Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in Michael Bay's dark action comedy, 'Pain & Gain', and will reunite with the director for 2014's 'Transformers 4'.

'2 Guns' is in cinemas on August 16.
