Mark Wahlberg is on board to produce a new Julius Caesar movie.
Wahlberg and his producing partner Stephen Levinson are set to make The Roman, which is a movie that will look at Caesar during his days as an army general.
According to Deadline the movie is set to follow Caesar when he and his men were kidnapped and enslaved by Cilician pirates and had to fight their way to freedom.
Travis Baker and Richard Tanne have teamed up to pen the screenplay, but a director is yet to be announced.
Casting news and when filming is set to get underway are also yet to be revealed.
2014 is set to be a busy producing year for Wahlberg as he is also set to make the highly anticipated Entourage movie.
On the acting front he will be back on the big screen in the new year as he leads an all star cast in Lone Survivor.
Directed by Peter Berg, the movie is based on the failed 2005 SEAL mission to capture Taliban leader Ahmad Shahd.
Wahlberg is also one of the new faces on the cast list of this summer's Transformers: Age of Extinction.
