Mark Wahlberg

Mark Wahlberg has been linked to a remake of The Six Million Dollar Man.

Wahlberg is believed to have been in talks with Universal Pictures to take on the central role in the new film, according to The Tracking Board.

The Six Million Dollar Man was a hit science fiction series during the seventies, and is now being turned into a film.

Peter Berg is also linked with the film to produce and possible direct.

This would be a second project together for Berg and Wahlberg having working on the Lone Survivor - which was released earlier this year.

The story would follow astronaut Steve Austin whose body is rebuilt with cybernetic technology after suffering traumatic injuries in an aircraft crash.

Wahlberg is currently enjoying big box office success with Transformer: Age of Extinction as he takes over the lead role for the first time.

So far, the movie has topped the U.S. box office and grossed over $575 million at the global box office.

As for Wahlberg, he has also completed work on Mojave and The Gambler.
