There has been a lot of talk about a second Creed film after the huge critical and commercial success of the first, which sees Jordan take on the role of Adonis Creed alongside Sylvester Stallone's Rocky.

Stallone has suggested that a second movie bounce back and forth in time like the Godfather, but Jordan wants an 'antagonist character' for Adonis to contend with.

Speaking to IGN, Jordan said: "I think The Godfather take is super ambitious and awesome. But when you're dealing with someone like [director] Ryan [Coogler] I think honestly he could pull off anything. So that's pretty cool.

"And honestly in Creed 1 we didn't have a real villain I don't think, so it would be kind of cool to have that antagonist character for Adonis to go up to and have some real animosity towards. That would be pretty cool."

Creed introduces audiences to Apollo Creed's son Adonis for the first time, while we see Stallone take on the role of Rocky for the first time since Rocky Balboa back in 2006.

The movie has been a huge hit critically and Stallone has won his first Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor and is in the Oscar mix.

The movie sees Jordan reunite with director Ryan Coogler for the second time; the duo teamed up for Fruitvale Station back in 2013.

Creed opened at number three at the UK box office over the weekend; behind The Revenant and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Creed is out now.
