Douglas - who has two children, Dylan, 14, and Carys, 12, with his actress wife Catherine Zeta-Jones - last night (08.07.15) attended the European premiere of Marvel's latest movie in which he stars as Dr Hank Pym and revealed he was glad he got to share the moment with his family.

Michael told BANG Showbiz: "It's great to share this with my kids and Catherine. As far as my kids are concerned, this is the first movie I've ever made. They're very excited to see it."

Meanwhile, Michael also claimed fans will be "surprised" by the humorous tone and the jaw-dropping finale of the movie, which sees fellow Hollywood star Paul Rudd assume the central role.

The actor - who also appears alongside Evangeline Lilly and Michael Pena - said: "I think fans will be surprised by the humour. It's a very funny picture. It's got a good comedic tone ... and the third act is marvellous. I sat there with my jaw open.

"I thought I knew the movie but I didn't know anything."
