Locke

Locke

Tom Hardy is a bit of a favourite here at FemaleFirst, and we are going to see him back n cinema screens with Locke.

Locke sees Hardy team up with Steven Knight for the first time, for a film that sees him carry the whole project.

Hardy takes on the central role of Ivan Locke, and the film is set in a car during a journey to London.

We have some new images of Hardy from the film:

Hardy is the only actor that we see on the screen, however, Ruth Wilson, Olivia Colman and Andrew Scott all lend their voices to the project.

This is only the second feature film for Knight; he made his directorial debut last year with Hummingbird.

Knight has been behind screenplays for Eastern Promises and Dirty Pretty Things, and we will see his writing skills on show once again.

Ivan Locke (Hardy) has worked diligently to craft the life he has envisioned, dedicating himself to the job that he loves and the family he adores.

On the eve of the biggest challenge of his career, Ivan receives a phone call that sets in motion a series of events that will unravel his family, job, and soul.

All taking place over the course of one absolutely riveting car ride, Locke is an exploration of how one decision can lead to the complete collapse of a life.

I had the chance to see this film at the BFI London Film Festival, and is an engrossing and funny watch.

Locke is released 18th April.
