Emma Roberts is set to return to the big screen this summer as she leads the cast in new thriller Nerve.

Nerve

Nerve is a big screen adaptation of the novel of the same name by Jeanne Ryan and sees Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman team up in the director's chair.

Joost and Schulman have worked together on a range of feature film and short film projects and this is their first feature since Paranormal Activity 4 back in 2012.

In terms of their feature film work, Nerve is a new direction for the duo and I am looking forward to seeing what they deliver as they tackle the crime/thriller genre.

They have brought together a great cast as Dave Franco, Juliette Lewis, Emily Meade, Samira Wiley, Miles Heizer, Machine Gun Kelly, and Kimiko Glenn will all star alongside Roberts.

Nerve follows industrious high school senior, Vee Delmonico (Roberts), who has had it with living life on the sidelines. When pressured by friends to join the popular online game Nerve, Vee decides to sign up for just one dare in what seems like harmless fun.

But as she finds herself caught up in the thrill of the adrenaline-fueled competition, the game begins to take a sinister turn with increasingly dangerous acts, leading her into a high-stakes finale that will determine her entire future.

Nerve is released 11th August.
