Pan looks set to be one of the unmissable family films this autumn and I cannot wait to see Joe Wright return to the director's chair.

Pan

I have been a fan of Wright for years, thanks to his work on Pride & Prejudice and Atonement, but this is his first film since Anna Karenina back in 2012... and it is great to see him back.

While Pan is a new take on the story that we know so well, there are some familiar characters on board including Peter Pan, Hook and Tiger Lily; played by Levi Miller, Garrett Hedlund, and Rooney Mara. Hugh Jackman is also on board as the villainous Blackbeard. They all feature in a serious of great new character posters for the film:

As if Jackman, Miller, Mara, and Hedlund wasn't an exciting enough cast list, Amanda Seyfried, Cara Delevingne, Nonso Anozie, Paul Kaye, and Kathy Burke are also on board.

Offering a new take on the origin of the classic characters created by J.M. Barrie, the action adventure follows the story of an orphan who is spirited away to the magical Neverland. There, he finds both fun and dangers, and ultimately discovers his destiny... to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan.

Wright is such a terrific filmmaker and storyteller and I cannot wait to see him put his own stamp on this well known tale. This is also one of the biggest film projects that Wright has tackled during his career.

Pan is released 16th October.
