Hoult is set to reprise the role of Beast in X-Men: Apocalypse, which is due to hit the big screen next year, and this is the final film that the British actor is signed on to do.

However, Hoult has revealed that he has enjoyed his time working on these movies so much that he would come back to make more films in this franchise in the future.

Speaking to E! Online, the actor said: "This is the last one I'm signed up for. The first one did so well and [X-Men: Days of Future Past] got received so brilliantly.

"It's like, 'Wow, people really want to see the films' and the best thing is it's a great crew and cast to work with and he's a fun character. I have a good time playing him so I'd keep making them."

Hoult took on the role of Hank McCoy for the first time in First Class back in 2011, and went on to reprise that role in X-Men: Days of Future Past last year. Days of Future Past, was both a critical and commercial success and was one of the highest grossing movies of 2015.

X-Men: Apocalypse is already one of the most anticipated films of next year, and will see Bryan Singer return to the director's chair. As well as Hoult returning, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and Jennifer Lawrence will be returning as Charles Xavier, Magneto, and Mystique.

However, there are some new faces to watch out for as Oscar Isaac, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, and Alexandra Shipp are on board as Apocalypse, young Jean Grey, young Cyclops, and young Storm. We may be seeing Channing Tatum as Gambit for the first time, while Hugh Jackman has also been linked to the film as Wolverine.

As for Hoult, he will be returning later this year with Mad Max: Fury Road alongside Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron. He has also completed work on Dark Places, Autobahn, Equals, and Kill Your Friends.

X-Men: Apocalypse will begin filming shortly and is set to hit the big screen 19th May 2016.
