Owen Wilson is best known for his comedic work when it comes to movies, but his new film No Escape sees him mix it up a little bit.

No Escape

No Escape is a thriller that sees the popular actor team up with writer and filmmaker John Erick Dowdle, as he returns to the director's chair for the first time since As Above, So Below.

Dowdle has teamed up with his brother Drew Dowdle to pen the screenplay and it really doe look like it is going to be a gripping watch as an American family battle to survive in the middle of a military coup.

A brand new trailer for the film has been released and we have it for you to take a look at:

Wilson takes on the central role of Jack Dwyer, and is joined on the cast list Pierce Brosnan, Lake Bell, Sterling Jerins, and Claire Geare.

An intense international thriller, No Escape centres on an American businessman (Wilson) as he and his family settle into their new home in Southeast Asia.

Suddenly finding themselves in the middle of a violent political uprising, they must frantically look for a safe escape as rebels mercilessly attack the city.

We are huge fans of Wilson here at FemaleFirst and this is his first film since Inherent Vice at the beginning of 2015.

No Escape is released 4th September.
