Paul Bettany has joked that he will have to work for him money from Marvel in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Bettany has been part of the Iron Man franchise from the start, as he has lent his voice to the character of J.A.R.V.I.S.

However, we will now see him on the big screen in a Marvel film, as he has landed the role of The Vision in the upcoming Avengers film.

Bettany hasn't spoke about the role since his casting was announced, but he reveals that he is excited about the new part.

Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel Live about The Vision's powers, the actor said: "Oh I can do all sorts of things, but I’m not allowed to really talk about them and what we’re going to do because there might be a Marvel agent in the room who will actually wrestle me to the ground and fire me.

"It’s very exciting for me, but everything is a double edged sword, right? Because I was playing J.A.R.V.I.S. for years and my job was I would turn up at a recording studio for 45 minutes, do all my stuff, and then they would give ma huge bag of cash and then I’d go home.

"Now it turns out they’ve found me out and they want me to actually do something!"

Bettany is just one of the new faces on the cast list, as James Spader, Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson are all also on board.

Bettany returns to the big screen next week as he stars alongside Johnny Depp and Rebecca Hall in Transcendence.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is released 1st May 2015.
