Rudd is currently starring as Scott 'Ant-Man' Lang in 'Captain America: Civil War', but according to Empire, the Hollywood star's next script will be for a movie based on a real-life story.

'The Catcher Was a Spy' is written by Robert Rodat - who worked on 'Saving Private Ryan' - and is a story taken from Nicholas Dawidoff's non-fiction bestseller.

The story is based on Moe Berg, a college graduate who is fluent in nine languages but plays baseball.

His 15-year sporting career saw him play for several teams, like the Chicago White Sox, but what is kept hidden is the fact he is a top-secret spy for America's pre-CIA intelligence agency the OSS, and he helped America to win the arms race against Germany.

Meanwhile, Paul recently revealed how much he relished working on the new 'Captain America' film and in particular, seeing the movie's star-studded cast don their superhero outfits.

He told BANG Showbiz: "It is pretty awesome. It's pretty incredible. I know if I ever go into a Planet Hollywood or any of those restaurants that have the shoes that Kevin Costner in 'Tin Cup' or whatever, I'm like, 'Whoa those were in the movie.' I still have that feeling, so then to step onto this set and see all of the suits was really cool.

"Then to see all the actors that wear the suits was even cooler, and then to see them put them on, and stand in front of them and get to take swings at them was the coolest. So it was a very exciting time."
