Paul Walker has been killed after a car accident in Santa Clarita, he was forty.
The actor was in the Santa Clarita to attend a charity car event to raise money to help the people in the Philippines.
A statement on the actor’s website says that he was a passenger in a friend’s car at the time of the accident; they both lost their lives. It is believed that the driver lost control of the car and it struck a tree of a post. It then burst into flames.
A statement on Paul Walker’s Facebook page read: "It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide.
“He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news.
“Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. -âª#TeamPW⬔
This was a one-car incident and no other vehicle was believed to be involved in the incident.
Walker was in the middle of filming Fast & Furious 7 as he reunited with co-stars Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson. He revealed last month that an eight film in the franchise was in the pipeline.
