This week, the final trailer for horror sequel A Quiet Place Part II has been unveiled, giving us another glimpse at what we should expect from the upcoming release and boy, is it a treat!

You can check out the teaser for yourself below:

The Abbott Family are now forced to face the terrors of the outside world, following the deadly events at home which saw Lee Abbott (John Krasinski) meet a tragic end.

His widow Evelyn Abbott (Emily Blunt) must now be stronger than ever before, taking her children Regan and Marcus Abbott (Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe) away from the farm and into a wholly-new location where the monsters lurking in the shadows aren’t the only beings they should be afraid of.

As they traverse open landscapes and tight, claustrophobic spaces, will all three be able to make it out of the other end of this film with their lives?

Written and directed by Krasinski, A Quiet Place Part II also stars Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou in a picture that is already being heralded as one of the must-see cinematic experiences of this generation.

If that’s not enough to whet your appetite, a short video going behind-the-scenes with real-life couple Krasinski and Blunt was also revealed today, which you can watch for yourself below:

The first Quiet Place movie brought in a whopping $341 million at the box office, from a budget of just $21 million.

It was named as one of the best films of 2019, taking home the Best Sci-fi/Horror Movie Award from the Critics' Choice and the Saturn Award for Best Writing, which went to Krasinski as well as Scott Beck and Bryan Woods.

Blunt was herself the recipient of a Screen Actors Guild Award, for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role.

With so many fans and such critical acclaim, it’s clear that there is a lot riding on the release of this sequel. Let’s hope it lives up to all expectations and who knows? Maybe it’ll even blow its predecessor out of the water!

A Quiet Place Part II is available in cinemas, Dolby Cinema and IMAX on June 3rd, 2021.
