Ridley Scott has revealed that the script for the Prometheus sequel is written.
Prometheus blasted onto the big screen last year and enjoyed both critical and commercial success.
The film was left so a sequel could be made, and it seems that the project is moving at a swift pace.
Speaking to Empire the director said: "Prometheus 2 is written.
"Prometheus was a great experience for me. Chasing number two, we can start evolving that grand idea."
The film starred the likes of Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender, but it has not yet been revealed if they will return to their roles.
We will see Scott return to the director's chair this autumn as The Counsellor is set to hit the big screen. He has brought together another great cast that includes Fassbender, Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem.
He is currently filming his latest film Exodus, while a Blade Runner sequel is also in the pipeline.
