Ryan Gosling and Nicolas Winding Refn are planning to reunite for a comedy film.

The pair - who worked together on hit crime drama 'Drive' in 2011 and are set to reunite for 'Only God Forgives' in August - now have their sights set on a comedy feature for their next project together.

The director told Total Film magazine: "We're talking about doing a comedy next. He'll be talking non-stop."

It seems Refn is planning on giving Hollywood hunk Gosling more dialogue than he had in 'Only God Forgives' - in which the actor was only given 17 lines so viewers could focus on "physical behaviour".

He explained: "[It is] the same thing we did with 'Drive'. It was basically about making a performance based on physical behaviour or movements or the atmosphere of how he moves his head."

Winding believes the pair are very well suited to working together and thinks Gosling is the "f**ing best."

He continued: "When you work again and again with the same people, there is a very intimate connection between you. He is the f***ing best."

Trying to explain their unique working relationship, the director compares it to a marriage.

He said: "Like, 'Why do you marry your wife?' 'Well, OK, do we have all night?' It's hard to explain; for me it just works."
