Ryan Reynolds has compared Deadpool to the worst relationship he has ever had.
The actor has long since been attached to a stand alone Deadpool film - but it is a project that seems no closer to hitting the big screen.
And he admits that he doesn't know what stage of pre-production the movie is at.
Speaking to Total Film the actor said: "That movie is alive and kicking, and then it’s dead as a doornail.
"Then it’s alive and kicking and then it’s dead... it’s like the worst relationship I’ve ever had!"
Reynolds took on the role of Deadpool for the first time back in 2009 when the character appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Rumours and talk about exploring this character further in a new movie have been rife.
And while we won't be seeing Reynolds in a Deadpool movie anytime soon we will be seeing plenty of him on the big screen.
He has completed work on R.I.P.D., The Voices, Queen of the Night and has lent his voice to Turbo.
