Sam Claflin says he struggled to keep a straight face during the filming of The Quiet Ones.

Claflin was on the red carpet in Leicester Square last night for the premiere of the new horror movie, which is directed by John Pogue.

And the actor admits he and the rest of the cast did find it tough trying not to laugh.

Speaking to Bang Showbiz, the actor said: "Trying to keep a straight face was so hard. The cast knew each other so well and spent the majority of the filming with our scared faces.

"We had this amazing director making noises and sound effects, as you can imagine there's no music, no sound effects [while filming], so we were lucky enough to have this amazing man!"

Claflin was joined on the red carpet last night by his co-stars Jared Harrison Olivia Cooke and Rory Fleck-Byrne.

The Quiet Ones kicks off a very busy year for the actor, as we are going to see him star in Love Rosie, Posh and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.

Mockingjay - Part 1 will see him reprise the role of Finnick Odair; a character we were introduced to last year in Catching Fire.

The Quiet Ones is released 10th April.
