Sandra Bullock says that she will do whatever it takes to continue taking on comedic roles.

The actress has already enjoyed comedy success this year as she teamed up with Melissa McCarthy for The Heat. However her film Gravity sees her leave comedy temporarily behind.

But the Oscar winner says that she will never turn her back on the comedic roles that she loves.

Speaking to Reuters Television the actress said: "I will do comedy until the day I die: inappropriate comedy, funny comedy, gender-bending, twisting comedy, whatever comedy is out there.

"Even a bad TV show - if that's where I have got to go at the end I will go there if it's comedy."

Gravity opened the Venice Film Festival on Wednesday night and is one of the most talked about movies of the festival so far.

Bullock was on the red carpet for the premiere of the Alfonso Cuarón directed film; a movie that is being tipped as a possible Oscar contender.

Bullock is also set to lend her voice to new animation film Minions; a spin off of the Despicable Me franchise.

Gravity is released 8th November.
