Odeon in Leicester Square projected a number of stunning images of ‘Blue Justice’, as the character likes to call himself, which lit up the night sky in London.

These images included a silhouette on the main digital screen as well as the tower of the cinema itself.

Sonic 2 follows the blue hedgehog in another incredible adventure; after settling into Green Hills with Tom (James Marsden) and his partner Maddie (Tika Sumpter), Sonic (Ben Schwartz) is excited to learn what a true hero is, and to try it out for himself.

Sonic gets his chance at being a hero when Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) returns, and he isn't alone; “Sonic, meet Knuckles.”

Sonic and his new friend, Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey), need to work together to stop Dr. Robotnik; they must find the emerald before it lands in the wrong hands...

The duo travel the world in search of the emerald, seeing them involved in some hilarious circumstances.

Sonic 2 comes from the same filmmakers that worked on both The Fast and the Furious and Deadpool, and stars Adam Pally, Lee Majdoub and Shemar Moore, and introduces Idris Elba (The Suicide Squad) as the voice of Knuckles.

2020 saw the release of Sonic the Hedgehog, in which Sonic felt like an outcast on Earth, after having to leave his first home.

The movie showed how much sonic wanted to be part of a family and to have friends; now, in Sonic 2, he has these things, which can only mean someone will try take them from him, and we know this person to be Dr. Robotnik.

Sonic has been a beloved video game character for decades, and seeing him in his very own movies are a dream come true for many fans.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be in UK cinemas on April 1st, 2022.
