T2

Filming on T2 is already well under way and will be the first feature film for Boyle since the success of Steve Jobs next year. However, we are going to have to wait until the beginning of 2017 until it hits the big screen.

T2 is based on the Irvin Welsh novel Porno and has been adapted into a screenplay by John Hodge, who wrote the script for Trainspotting.

Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, and Robert Carlyle are set to reprise the roles of Mark 'Rent Boy' Renton, Daniel 'Spud' Murphy, Simon 'Sick Boy' Williamson, and Francis 'Franco' Begbie. And they all feature in this teaser trailer. Take a look:

It's hard to believe that it was back in 1996 when Trainspotting was released for the first time. It was to launch the careers of Boyle and McGregor and has gone on to be a huge cult hit.

Twenty years on, it is regarded as one of the best films of Boyle's career, one of the best drugs movies ever made, and remains one of the best British films of all time.

The movie went on to be nominated for a Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar. Winning the same award at the Baftas.

T2 already looks set to be one of the most successful British movies of 2017.

T2 is released 27th January 2017.
