Chloë Grace Moretz is set to return to the big screen this January as she leads the cast in new movie The 5th Wave.

The 5th Wave is the latest young adult novel to be adapted for the big screen and is based on the book by Rick Yancey, in what is the first part of a trilogy.
Moretz takes on the role of Cassie Sullivan in the film as she teams up with director J Blakeson for the first time. The 5th Wave is only the second feature for Blakeson and comes six years after he made his debut with The Disappearance of Alice Creed.

A great cast has been assembled for the film as Moretz stars alongside Nick Robinson, Maika Monroe, Liev Schreiber, Maggie Siff, Maria Bello, and Ron Livingston.
In the new film The 5th Wave, four waves of increasingly deadly attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Against a backdrop of fear and distrust, Cassie (Moretz) is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother.
As she prepares for the inevitable and lethal 5th wave, Cassie teams up with a young man who may become her final hope - if she can only trust him.
The 5th Wave is released 22nd January.
