With the Man in Black determined to topple the Dark Tower, but Deschain doing everything he can to prevent it, it soon becomes clear that the Tower is the only thing holding the universe together. The fates of all the worlds are at stake, and as both good and evil collides, it falls to the final Gunslinger to save humanity from a terrible fate.

Tom Taylor, Claudia Kim, Fran Kranz, Abbey Lee and Jackie Earle Haley all also star in this film that takes elements from all of King’s Dark Tower novels to-date, but also serves as a standalone story from the same universe.

Nikolaj Arcel sits in the Director’s Chair, with Akiva Goldsman, Jeff Pinkner, Anders Thomas Jensen and Arcel taking writing credits, alongside King.

The Dark Tower hits cinemas across the UK on August 18.
