The Tale of the Princess Kaguya
The Tale of the Princess Kaguya is set to be the new project from Studio Ghibli, and a brand new trailer has been released by GKID.
The movie sees Isao Takahata return to Studio Ghibli for the first time since My Neighbours the Yamadas, and this is a movie that is already winning over the critics.
A brand new trailer has been released for the film, and it promises to be unlike anything Studio Ghibli have delivered before:
Chloe Grace Moretz, James Caan, Beau Bridges, Oliver Platt, and Mary Steenburgen have all lent their voices to the film.
The movie is based on the Japanese folktale The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, about a bamboo cutter who finds a princess in the bamboo.
The movie has already enjoyed critical and commercial success in Japan, and will be released in the U.S. in October. No UK release date has been announced.
Studio Ghibli have already success this year with The Wind Rises, and When Marnie Was There is another of their movies on the horizon.
