The Theory of Everything is a movie that lit up the Toronto International Film Festival last month, and now the brand new trailer for the film is here.

Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones are two of the most exciting young actors around, and their central performances are already receiving praise.

Redmayne and Jones will take on the roles of Stephen Hawking and Jane Wilde, in a movie that explores their relationship and their battle when Hawking is diagnosed with motor neuron disease.

This brand new trailer hints that The Theory of Everything is going to be a powerful and emotional watch - check it out:

There is already plenty of Oscar talk surrounding this movie, so don't be surprised if you see if and the actors in the mix at the beginning of next year. We all know how much the Academy love a biopic.

Redmayne and Jones are surrounded by a great cast, as Charlie Cox, Emily Watson, David Thewlis, Harry Lloyd and Maxine Peake are also on board.

Little was expected from Stephen Hawking, a bright but shiftless student of cosmology, given just two years to live following the diagnosis of a fatal illness at 21 years of age.

He became galvanized, however, by the love of fellow Cambridge student, Jane Wilde, and he went on to be called the successor to Einstein, as well as a husband and father to their three children.

Over the course of their marriage as Stephen’s body collapsed and his academic renown soared, fault lines were exposed that tested the lineaments of their relationship and dramatically altered the course of both of their lives.

The Theory of Everything looks set to be one of the first 'must see' films of 2015, and I can't wait to see Redmayne and Jones in action.

The Theory of Everything is released 1st January 2015.
