Richard Gere has a busy 2016 ahead of him and Time Out of Mind is one of his first film projects of the year - the brand new UK poster of the film has been unveiled.

Time Out of Mind

Time Out of Mind marks the return of Oren Moverman to the director's chair. This is the third feature film of his career and comes after the success of The Messenger and Rampart; Rampart was his last movie back in 2012 and it is great to see him back. As well as being in the director's chair, Moverman has also penned the film's screenplay.

Gere takes on the central role of George and is joined on the cast list by Ben Vereen, Jena Malone, Steve Buscemi, Jeremy Strong, and Kyra Sedgwick - it really is a terrific line-up with some great acting talent on show.

Time Out of Mind follows George (Gere), an increasingly desperate man who finds himself adrift on the unforgiving streets of New York City. When he seeks refuge at Bellevue Hospital, Manhattan's largest intake centre for homeless men, he befriends a seasoned shelter-dweller (Ben Vereen) and begins to find hope of repairing his relationship with his estranged daughter (Jena Malone).

Time Out of Mind is a movie that is already winning over the critics and sees Gere serve as producer as well as lead actor.

We haven't seen Gere on the big screen since the success of The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel - where he was a great addition to the cast list - but we are also going to be seeing him in The Benefactor and Oppenheimer Strategies this year. The actor is currently working on his latest project The Dinner, which sees him star alongside Rebecca Hall, Chloe Sevigny, Laura Linney and Steve Coogan.

Time Out of Mind is released 4th March
