Davis - who stars as Amanda Waller in the hotly-anticipated movie - has revealed she suffered a number of health issues during filming for the superhero movie because the scenes were so intense.

Speaking on E! Live from the Red Carpet, she said: "Just put it this way, it got so crazy that there were times during filming that I had heart palpitations.

"Not only heart palpitations, but at one point I said, 'Did I suffer from hearing loss? Why is my left ear still pounding?'"

And it's not the first time Viola has injured herself in a movie as she previously revealed she hurt her back getting intimate on screen in 'How To Get Away With Murder'.

She admitted: "I blew my back out. That was in the Billy Brown scene. He threw me up against a wall. All I can say is I was totally committed to the scene.

"I just told them to slow it down for a minute. I'm going to get back into it. I have to. It's Shondaland! They're gonna have me doing all kinds of stuff with all kinds of people."

Meanwhile, Viola - who has five-year-old daughter Genesis with her husband Julius Tennon - previously revealed she has always dreamed of being an actress.

She said: "I hoped, I dreamed but I didn't know. I just felt like the dreaming and the hoping would be enough and I think for the most part it is. I think that's what makes you get up in the morning and keeps you working and keeps you excited and in it and passionate and I think it's the passion that carries you through life."
