There are still a few weeks to go until Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children hits the big screen, but it is set to be one of the September films that's not to be missed.

The movie marks the return of Tim Burton to the director's chair as he brings Ransom Riggs' much-loved novel to life. The movie is based on the book of the same name and has been adapted into a screenplay by Jane Goldman.

The first clip for the film has arrived and introduces us to some of the 'peculiar' children. Take a look:

Asa Butterfield and Eva Green take on the central roles of Jake and Miss Peregrine, while Chris O'Dowd, Ella Purnell, Allison Janney, Rupert Everett, Terence Stamp, Judi Dench and Samuel L. Jackson make up the impressive cast list.

When Jake discovers clues to a mystery that spans alternate realities and times, he uncovers a secret refuge known as Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.

As he learns about the residents and their unusual abilities, Jake realises that safety is an illusion, and danger lurks in the form of powerful, hidden enemies. Jake must figure out who is real, who can be trusted, and who he really is.

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children is one of the movies that I have been looking forward to all year and I cannot wait to see Burton put his own stamp on this great tale.

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children is released 30th September.
