Zachary Quinto has joined the cast of action film Agent 47.
Quinto is set to star alongside British actor Rupert Friend as Hitman is brought back to the big screen.
While Quinto is aboard the project, it is not yet known which role he is set to play.
Paul Walker was originally set to take on the central role, but the part had to be recast after his untimely death.
Friend will take over the role of the assassin who gets entrapped in a political conspiracy.
Aleksander Bach is in the director's chair for the film, while Michael Finch and Skip Woods have penned the screenplay.
Chuck Gordon, Alex Young and Adrian Askarieh are producing with Daniel Alter acting as executive producer.
We have not seen Quinto on the big screen since the success of Star Trek Into Darkness last summer; a movie that saw him reprise the role of Spock.
However, he is set to star in The Girl Who Invented Kissing and We'll Never Have Paris.
Filming for 'Agent 47' kicks off in March after Quinto ends his run in melodrama 'The Glass Menagerie' on Broadway.
