Divergent

Divergent

Divergent is one of the most eagerly anticipated movies of 2014 as Veronica Roth's popular novel has been adapted for the big screen.

I am working my way through the book at the moment and I am very keen to see just how the story is set to translate onto the big screen.

The brand new trailer for the film has been released - and if you are looking for an action packed movie then this looks like it could be the one for you:

Shailene Woodley made a splash in 2012 when she starred in The Descendents alongside the fab George Clooney, but the role of Tris is set to send her star rocketing.

Tris is the film's heroine and this is the biggest movie role of Woodley's career. She has been an actress to keep an eye on over the last year and she is set to cement herself as an exciting young talent with this movie.

Theo James is another actor on the rise as he takes on the role of Four in the film. He has moved between TV and film projects with the likes of Underworld: Awakening and The Inbetweeners Movie under his belt so far.

A terrific cast has been assembled for this as Woodley and James are joined by Kate Winslet, Maggie Q, Ashley Judd, Zoe Kravitz and Jai Courtney.

Divergent is a thrilling action-adventure set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Tris Prior (Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group.

When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late.

I am at a point where the book is really hotting up and that really has made me more excited to see this film. Divergent promises to be one of the early not to miss movies of 2014.

Divergent is released 4th April 2014.
