Oblivion
The summer blockbuster season is upon us and it is being kicked off in fine style by Tom Cruise and his new movie Oblivion.
The movie sees the actor return to the science fiction genre as this is his first big screen outing of 2013.
We are huge sci-fi fans here at FemaleFirst and this is a movie that we have been excited about for some time - mark my words 2013 is the year of the science fiction film.

Oblivion also sees Joseph Kosinski back in the director's chair for what his is first movie since Tron: Legacy.
Kosinski really is a very visual filmmaker and, from what we have seen from Oblivion so far, this movie really looks wonderful.
The film sees Kosinski adapt his own graphic novel for the big screen, with some help from Karl Gajdusek and Michael Arndt.
And there is also a terrific cast which has been assembled as Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Melissa Leo, Andrea Riseborough and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau are all on board.

The summer blockbuster season is always an exciting part of the movie year and there really is some terrific movies on the way over the next few months.
It is unusual for the summer of film to kick off this early but Oblivion is set to get things under way with a bang.
Oblivion is released 10th April.
