It was last summer when John Green's novel The Fault In Our Stars was adapted for the big screen and enjoyed huge success at the box office.

Paper Towns

Paper Towns

A year on, another Green novel has been given a movie makeover... and that book is Paper Towns, which was published back in 2008 and was Green's fourth book.

If you are looking for a movie that is packed with mystery and romance then Paper Towns is set to be the movie for you - however, we are going to have to wait until August before it hits the big screen.

The movie marks the return of Jake Schreier to the director's chair, while Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber have teamed up to adapt Green's novel into a screenplay.

Schreier made his feature film directorial debut back in 2012 with Robot & Frank and this is the first time that we have seen him back in the director's chair since that debut. Robot & Frank was a terrific movie and I am looking forward to seeing him put his own stamp on this popular story.

Cara Delevingne has been making the transition from runway to big screen in the last eighteen months or so and Paper Towns is set to be the biggest role of her career to date. Delevingne is set to be an actress to watch out for over the next year or so with the likes of Tulip Fever, Kids In Love, Pan, and Suicide Squad all on the horizon.

Nat Wolff is another actor who is on the rise and we saw him in The Fault In Our Stars a year ago. He will take on the role of Quentin Jacobsen in the film, as he teams up with Delevingne for the first time.

Delevingne and Wolff are joined on the cast list by Cara Buono, Halston Sage, Caitlin Carver, and Austin Abrams.

Paper Towns is a coming-of-age story centring on Quentin and his enigmatic neighbour Margo, who loved mysteries so much she became one. After taking him on an all-night adventure through their hometown, Margo suddenly disappears--leaving behind cryptic clues for Quentin to decipher.

The search leads Quentin and his quick-witted friends on an exhilarating adventure that is equal parts hilarious and moving. Ultimately, to track down Margo, Quentin must find a deeper understanding of true friendship--and true love.

Young Adult adaptations have had a wide range of success over the last couple of years, and Paper Towns looks set to be another that will light up the big screen.

Paper Towns is released 21st August.
