Vin Diesel has already had a busy and successful year, but this September he reprises the character of Riddick.

Riddick is one of the most anticipated movies of the autumn as we have not see Diesel play this role since back 2004 with The Chronicles of Riddick.

We were introduced to this character for the first time back in 2000, and he remains one of Diesel's best roles.

This is a movie that we are super excited for here at FemaleFirst and we have the brand new redband trailer for you to check out:

Diesel is not the only franchise familiar who is returning, as David Twohy is back in the director's chair.

Twohy has been at the helm of all of the Riddick movies and this is his first directorial outing since A Perfect Getaway back in 2009.

Diesel is joined on the cast list by Katee Sackhoff, Nolan Gerald Funk and Dave Bautista, while Karl Urban will be reprising the role of Vaako.

Having been betrayed and left for dead on a sun-scorched planet, Riddick must fight for his survival against the deadly alien predators that exist in this barren land.

After activating an emergency beacon Riddick soon finds himself battling teams of mercenaries from around the galaxy who are determined to bring him home as their bounty.

Riddick is one of the best anti-heroes of film in the last fifteen years, and once again he will be forced back into action to help those that want his head.

Riddick is released 4th September.
