Snoopy and Charlie Brown are two characters that have been entertaining children for generations, from the iconic Peanuts comic strip by Charles M. Schultz to the animation television series... and now they are coming to the big screen for the very first time.

Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie

2015 has already been a great year for the animation film genre, but Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie is one of the films that I have been looking forward to the most.

I grew up with the characters of Snoopy, Charlie Brown and co and I cannot wait to see them given a silver screen makeover. And it is Snoopy who takes centre stage in this exclusive new clip as he shows off his flying skills. Check it out:

Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie marks the return of Steve Martino to the director's chair for the third feature film of his career. However, Martino is no stranger to the animation genre with Ice Age: Continental Drift and Horton Hears a Who! already under his belt.

The movie is based on the comic strip by Schultz and the screenplay has seen Bryan and Craig Schultz team up with Cornelius Uliano.

Noah Schnapp is set to bring the character of Charlie Brown to life, while Bill Melendez will voice Snoopy and Woodstock through archival recordings. Hadley Belle, Anastasia Bredikhina, Noah Johnson, Alexander Garfin, and Madisyn Shipman are also on board as Lucy, Patty, Schroeder, Linus, and Violet Gray.

Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the beloved 'Peanuts' gang make their big-screen debut, like they've never been seen before, in state of the art 3D animation. Snoopy, the world's most lovable beagle - and flying ace - embarks upon his greatest mission as he takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis The Red Baron, while his best pal, Charlie Brown, begins his own epic quest.

Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie is a movie that I have been looking forward to all year and it is going to be great to see these wonderful characters on the big screen this December.

If you are looking for a family-friendly film to enjoy this festive season, then Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie is one that cannot be missed.

Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie is released 21st December.
