Star Wars: The Force Awakens
The brand new trailer gives us a look at new characters Rey and Finn, played by Daisy Ridley and John Boyega as well as a fleeting glimpse of Han Solo and Leia as Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher reprise these wonderful characters.
The trailer is packed with plenty of action and shadowy figures however, there is a lack of Luke Skywalker in the trailer and he is also absent from the brand new poster... where he is going to fit into this story? I guess we are going to have to be patient just a little bit longer.
There are only a few weeks to go until The Force Awakens finally hits the big screen and we see J.J. Abrams put his own stamp on this iconic and much-loved franchise.
This will be the first time that we have seen Abrams at the helm of a Star Wars film and it will be the first movie in the series since Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith back in 2005.
Ridley and Boyega are not the only new faces on the cast list as Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Gwendoline Christie. and Lupita Nyong'o are also on board.
The plot is still being kept under wraps but it is a continuation of the Star Wars saga and is set thirty years after events of Return of the Jedi.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been one of the most talked about movies of the year and will be a huge box office smash when it finally is released in December. Could it become the highest grossing film of the year? I think it really will challenge Jurassic World for that crown.
