If you are looking for something a little different on the big screen this June, look no further than Tale of Tales.

Tale of Tales

Tale of Tales

Tales of Tales will be released in two weeks and has already been winning over critics and audiences on the festival circuit.

The movie marks the return of Matteo Garrone to the director's chair - he brought us Gomorrah and this is his first feature film since Reality back in 2012. Tale of Tales is based on the book by Giambattista Basile and Garrone has teamed up with Edoardo Albinati, Ugo Chiti, and Massimo Gaudioso to pen the screenplay.

There's less a fortnight to go until the release of Tale of Tales and the terrific new UK trailer has been unveiled. Take a look:

Oscar-nominated actress Salma Hayek takes on the central role of Queen of Longtrellis and is joined on the cast list by Vincent Cassel, Toby Jones, John C. Reilly, and Shirley Henderson.

From the bitter quest of the Queen of Longtrellis (Hayek) who forfeits the life of her husband (Reilly), to two mysterious sisters who provoke the passion of the King of Strongcliff (Cassel), to the King of Highhills (Jones) obsessed with a giant Flea leading to heartbreak for his young daughter.

Tale Of Tales weaves the beautiful with the grotesque, creating a stunning and unique work of gothic imagination.

This June is packed with interesting indie films and Tale of Tales could be the film for you if you are looking for something that is a little less mainstream.

Tale of Tales is released 17th June.
