If there is one autumn blockbuster just about everyone is talking about, then it is The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.
Ever since the credits rolled on Catching Fire, I have been looking forward to this film, as Francis Lawrence really upped the ante with the second instalment.
The great new is, Lawrence will be staying with the franchise for the final two films, and I am exciting to see how the final book - which is the most epic, exciting, and devastating of the trilogy - translates on to the big screen.
Mockingjay - Part 1 will pick up at the events of Catching Fire, and sees Katniss Everdeen become a reluctant symbol of a mass rebellion against the autocratic Capitol.
Jennifer Lawrence will reprise the role of Katniss, while Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Donald Sutherland are all also returning.
There are a couple of exciting new additions to the cast list, as Julianne Moore and Natalie Dormer are set to star as President Alma Coin and Cressida.
So far, The Hunger Games series have been incredibly faithful to Suzanne Collins's novels and enjoyed mammoth box office success.
Mockingjay - Part 1 looks set to follow in those fine footsteps and will be one of the most successful films of the year.
Sadly, we will have to wait another year before we get to the heartbreaking conclusion.
So far, we have only had little teaser trailers to whet our appetite, and I am looking forward to seeing the first real trailer.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is released 21st November.
