Faith No More

We said that Reading and Leeds would have the odd surprise left for you despite presenting the best festival line-up of 2009 and they don’t come much bigger than this one.

Promoters Festival Republic are proud to announce that the headline act on the NME /Radio One Stage at The Reading Festival on Friday 28th August and The Leeds Festival on Sunday 30th August will be none other than Faith No More.

The US legends guarantee an amazing moment at both sites in the tent and be sure to turn up early to ensure you get to see these very special shows.

Faith No More are without doubt one of the most important bands in the history of rock. Following underground success with 1987’s ‘Introduce Yourself’ and single ‘We Care A Lot’, the recruitment of Mike Patton on vocals and subsequent album ‘The Real Thing’ took the band global. Lead single ‘Epic’ became a worldwide hit and the band became household names.

Through to 1998 and albums, ‘Angel Dust’, ‘King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime’ and ‘Album Of The Year’, Faith No More were a massive live draw and an A list name in rock circles. Their disbandment in 1998 was a sad moment for fans worldwide but their reformation this year and now these shows are sure to put smiles on not just those faces but the faces of everyone at the twin sites over the weekend.
