Scouting For Girls

Hard Rock International and Absolute Radio have today announced that Amy Macdonald and Scouting For Girls are the next acts confirmed to perform exclusive live sets as part of ‘Hard Rock Presents Absolute Radio Sessions’ , the brand new monthly live music show taking place at Hard Rock Cafe London, which was launched by Editors last month.

Scottish singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald will take to the stage on Monday 22 February hosted by Absolute Radio Hometime DJ Geoff Lloyd, and indie pop act Scouting For Girls will follow suit on Wednesday 3 March, with Absolute Radio DJ Lucio hosting the evening. Tickets for these shows can only be won by tuning into Absolute Radio, or logging onto their website.

The Amy Macdonald gig will be broadcast on Absolute Radio on Geoff Lloyd’s Hometime Show from 7pm on Monday 8th March, and Scouting For Girls will be broadcast from 7pm on Thursday 4th March.

Following the world success of Amy Macdonald’s debut album ‘This Is The Life’, selling three million copies globally and reaching Number 1 in five countries (including the UK), the Scottish songbird will perform songs at Hard Rock from her brand new album ‘A Curious Thing’. Amy MacDonald is touring across the UK in Spring 2010.

‘Scouting For Girls’ was the debut album released by the popular indie-pop band that reached Number 1 in the UK album chart for two weeks. Formed in 2005, the London-based trio will perform tracks from their new album ‘Everyone Wants To Be On TV’, due for release in April. Scouting For Girls recently announced details of their 22-date tour throughout April and May 2010.

‘Hard Rock Presents Absolute Radio Sessions’ continue Hard Rock’s commitment to hosting live music events – within the last few years the likes of Aerosmith, Stevie Wonder, The Charlatans and Fun Lovin’ Criminals have all performed intimate shows at Hard Rock Cafe London – as well as amplify Absolute Radio’s commitment to delivering the best live music to its listeners.

National station Absolute Radio is all about live music – the station has broadcasted live from the Isle of Wight Festival, Hard Rock Calling, V Festival and has had more than 100 sessions in the Absolute Radio studios from the likes of Chris Martin, Kasabian and Lily Allen. For the station’s first birthday Breakfast Show DJ Christian O’Connell hosted a traffic stopping gig on Regent Street to thousands of Absolute Radio listeners creating a real moment in music history.
