After the results of an annual study by VoucherCodes.co.uk were released, it was revealed that V Festival has moved up from 3rd place last year to 1st when it comes to getting more for your money.

Comparing the cost of the top nine headline acts in concert with the price of a weekend festival ticket, the savings offered can be quite impressive.

Those heading to Chelmsford or Shropshire this August for V Fest will save a whopping £242.61 versus what they'd pay to see some of the headliners including Lily Allen and The Killers on tour.

Last year's top value event has been bumped into second place in the chart - Glastonbury - with Dolly Parton and Metallica hitting the Pyramid Stage and earning those attending savings of £154.35.

T in the Park has rocketed from sixth to third place saving visitors £145.58, but Isle of Wight has crashed down from second to seventh place from last year.
