Smooth operator and R'n'B God, Usher, got us shaking our things on the dance floor in 2004 with his smash hit single ‘Yeah!' Similar to every other great hip hop record, its infectious hook and talented selection of writers (Lil Jon, Sean Garrett, Patrick J. Que Smith, Ludacris, Robert McDowell and James Elbert "LRoc" Phillips) were the root to the song's success.
Co-writer Lil Jon incorporated ‘crunk' into Ushers R'n'B style to achieve one of the most recognized sounds of the decade. With over 2 million copies sold in one year it makes ‘Yeah!' one of the fastest selling hip hop songs ever.
The song was released as the lead single to Ushers equally successful 2004 album, Confessions.
